The word "Darband" means Prisoner in Farsi. We, as human beings, may feel obsessed with many things throughout our lifetime and one of those obsessions can be love. The delicate detailing of this design embodies the term Darband as a prisoner of love. Also, the word Darband translates to the door of the mountain and it's the name of a neighborhood inside Tehran's metropolitan limits.
